Governor’s Office of Crime Control & Prevention

The MCIN Unit prosecutes cases involving gangs, human trafficking offenses, and repeat violent offenders. The Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN) initiative is a statewide effort to foster communication and collaboration across jurisdictions and within various government agencies. The Office of the State’s Attorney participates in this initiative and is a member of the Cecil Coalition. The prosecutor partners with local, state, and federal law enforcement to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal networks. The Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) provides funding and strategic support for the MCIN coalition to enhance inter-agency collaboration and data sharing to make Maryland safer.
